LEADERSHIP CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER; DRAWING ON LEADER PERSPECTIVES DURING CHALLENGING TIMES

TALK SUMMARY

The Aged Care sector in Australia is struggling to meet the increasing needs of an ageing population, with limited resources. By 2050, the Aged Care workforce will need to more than quadruple while the overall employment to population ratio will decline. Doing more with less is no longer enough. A revolution in how Aged Care services are designed, funded and delivered is required. The scale and scope of necessary sector reform means that leaders in Aged Care must not just manage effectively, but also think creatively and strategically, drive innovation, adapt their organisations to changing demands and engage and collaborate with stakeholders and staff as they lead change. As a way of moving through this challenge, Tanya worked with Aged Care leaders across Australia to determine how best provide leadership development, effectively, economically and sustainably.

During this webinar Tanya will share the outcomes of ‘leadership development conversations’ with over 450 aged care leaders about this issue, and how these informed a strategic vision for developing aged care leadership capability at all levels.

This will be of interest to: Coaches that work with individuals and organisations designing and implementing leadership development activities and programs.
